AHBA in Finland

Weekly training starts on my farm in the beginning of the May. There´s three different groups; monday daytime, monday evening and thursday evening. All full booked, 24 dogs (pumis, mudis, shetlands, border collies, kelpies, gos daturas, australian sheperds, schapendois, lapphund, belgian and even one australian cattledog:)).All dogs train for five weeks and then starts another course. (Almost all these dogs which start on May continue training trought summer.)

Then there is several herding camps in June (australian sheperds, pumis, pulis, serra de aires-sheperds ect.).

Linda Bell from Texas is about to fly here on 8th July, she holds first clinic on 10-12.7. (Whole weekend is still free, if someone there gets interested).) Linda´s second clinic takes place on 14-16th July, there´s four places left. Then she holds two clinics which are full booked already.

And then:our main happening.

AHBA´s official farm trials on 24-25-26th July.
Judging Linda Bell from Winslide-kennel, Texas

Whole weekend is going to be a "youngster-weekend" But I think it´s going to bring much more joy and creates relaxed athmosphere when people with dogs from different races are in the same line, starting their "career" .

So, on friday, saturday and sunday there´s herding capability tests for beginners and Junior Herding Dog- and Herding Dog I-classes.

Friday is full but for saturday and sunday there´s still room for new dogs. Costs are 50 euros per dog/class.
Many of dogs are first on friday in capasity test, join Junior herding dog I on saturday and try their wings in Herding Dog I on sunday.I think this is a wonderfull way to have many courses at the same weekend and learn new things from dog and trialing. And ther´s no preassure, all other dogs are also beginners!!And we have well dog-broken sheeps!

Dogs registernumber ect. goes after the trials to ABHA, so "merits" starts from here:)

There will be many, many races (briards, BC, kelpie, koolies, collies, serra de aires, pumis ect. ect.) . Until now there´s already 48 dogs on lists:) I´m longing for 80 dogs.

There´s catering, beer-tent, cafeteria here during whole weekend. If someone needs place to stay, there´s also some rooms for rent in my farm and I can give more information concerning camping-places nearby us.But please rememeber: this is modest home and farm, not a castle, so everything rules in flexible way and we´re building this event with many wonderfull volunteers, not with big money:) So do not wait wine-list, hotel-conditions, swimming-pools ect. from us:)But fun and easy-going company I can promise!

This happening takes place on
